1. BLOOD RELATIVES:
Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Grandfather, Grandmother, Aunt, Uncle, Cousins!
ENTRY CONVERSATION:
"How is your life?" -
vs. "How are you?"
Requires an answer- vs. "OK"
TALK DEPTH:
"How are you doing with………?"
"I have been praying for……." (Use prayer
list!)
"How are you handling that situation?"
GET TO INVOLVEMENT QUICKLY:
"How
can I help you with…….?"
"Who are you counseling with for……?"
(Most men don't)
"What outcome would you like to see happen with….?"
"Is God part of your decision making process?"
"HOW?"
"Do you feel comfortable calling on God for help?"
JESUS IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER:
"May I share with you how God
has helped me to overcome
problems in my own life?" Give examples
"Do you think God hears every prayer of people
in distress?"
"What do you think of God?"……(Let them talk)
"MAY I SHARE SOMETHING WITH YOU THAT SOMEONE ONCE SHARED WITH ME THAT MADE IT EASY FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND WHO GOD IS?"

2. Existing Friends--Neighbors
CREATE OPPORTUNITIES:
Ø
Have neighbors in for a meal or
barbecue--keep meal simple.
Ø
Key - Get to know them better--don't
impress them with YOU!
Ø
Share your happiness…in life,
family, experiences
Ø
Go fishing, hiking, sports events
Ø
Loan out your video camera
Ø
When new neighbors move in- take
them a meal, ice tea, casserole,
or dessert
"SHOW" PRACTICAL LOVE FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS/FRIENDS
Ø
Shovel snow for them.
Ø
Mow yard on their vacation.
Ø
Baby-sit for their children while they go shopping,
go on a date.
Ø
Water their garden
Ø
Help to carry heavy appliance/ladder or something
that takes two
people to make it easier.
Ø
Canvass your neighborhood for Heart Drive, Cancer
Drive.
Ø
Take care of neighbor's pets while they are
on vacation.
Ø
Take neighbor or friend's kids to get ice cream,
fishing, sport
event.
Ø
Find out as much as you can about your neighbor's
career.
Ø
E-mail stories or sayings to the individual
"BE SINCERE" TO YOUR NEIGHBOR

Listen to their name and repeat it
as you see them.

Learn the name of their wife and
children. Write it down later.
ENTRY CONVERSATION:
(Most of your neighbors' lives are NOT lived in crisis but in up's and down's of life.) BE A GOOD LISTENER!
(Most people want a relationship with their neighbors or friends)

Ø "How do you like Columbus/Worthington compared to….?"

Ø Do you/wife enjoy their work? Why? (70% of people would change jobs with the same income, just to change to new environment) Learn about their likes/dislikes about job
Ø Remember what they tell you.

- Photography, sing, crafts

Motivation:

Ø "If you did not have to work for money, what would you really like to be doing?"Money:
Ø Is money really important?…(take precedence over family?)
Ø Are they over extended financially?…time?
Ø What would they do if they won the lottery?
Ø Do they find it hard to live on a budget?
Ø Do they find it hard to save for retirement?

Ø MUST BE SINCERELY INTERESTED IN THEM AS A PERSON AND THEIR LIFE….
